Currently working as a bird guide (Rockjumper) throughout North and South America, and as an itinerant field biologist (Great Basin Bird Observatory). I try to make recordings to facilitate my own learning and also to contribute something meaningful to science. Most recordings from about June 2016 onward have been at least amplified and sometimes lightly filtered with Audacity. Recordings prior to April-May 2017 were mostly made with either iPhone 5s and 6s and recording after this date with Olympus LS-P2 or LS-P4 handheld recorder. Starting sometime in 2020 I switched to a TascamDR100-MKiii handheld recorder. I also try to make sets of recordings for places I've spent the most time like western Ecuador, the Atlantic Forest and southern Amazon of Brazil, Argentina and Nevada (USA) amongst other places, which I hope can be useful for people traveling to these places.
