Katie Couric marries John Molner in New York
After 16 years as a single mom, talk-show veteran Katie Couric is a married woman once more.
Couric, 57, married financier John Molner Saturday at her home in the Hamptons. The pair have been together for about two years and became engaged in September 2013.
The small family ceremony featured readings and music from Couric's daughters, Ellie, 22, and Carrie, 18. Molner's nieces and nephews served as flower girls and ring bearers.
The couple kept things so low key that she didn't even settle on her ivory lace Carmen Marc Valvo dress until a week before the ceremony.
Couric lost her first husband, Jay Monahan, to colon cancer in 1998 when he was just 42, leading her to become a crusader against the illness and that famous live colonoscopy on NBC's Today show.
While she took a time-out from Twitter in the lead-up to the wedding, she did keep her promise to post a photo on Saturday. "So excited to make my debut as Mrs. John Molner," she proclaimed.
