Myles Smith Wins 2025 BRITs Rising Star Award

Myles Smith has won the BRIT Rising Star Award for 2025. 

The news was announced by Jack Saunders on his BBC Radio 1 New Music show, ahead of the 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony, which will take place at London's O2 arena on March 1.

The Luton-born folk-pop artist beat competition from Elmiene and Good Neighbours for the prize, which has previously been awarded to Adele, Sam Smith, Sam Fender, Ellie Goulding, Florence + The Machine, Griff, FLO and last year's winners The Last Dinner Party. Myles Smith said:

"Winning the BRIT award for Rising Star is such a surreal moment. Music has always been about connecting with people, and to see it resonate on this level is incredible. I’m so grateful to my team, my family, and especially the fans who’ve supported me every step of the way. Your belief in me means everything. This is just the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s to come—thank you for being part of this journey."

The 26-year-old released his debut EP, 'You Promised a Lifetime', through Sony in March, followed by his 'A Minute' EP in November. The latter features his platinum-certified single Stargazing, which continues to dominate global charts.

He'll embark on his previously scheduled We Were Never Strangers UK and European tour early next year, followed by North American, Australian, and New Zealand dates, as well as a round of European shows supporting Ed Sheeran in the summer. He'll also appear at In It Together Festival in Margam, Wales in May. Tickets are on sale now.
