Revenue change from enotourism at wineries in Europe 2020, by country
Most wineries surveyed in major European wine-producing countries reported revenue losses from wine tourism due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020. That year, nearly half of responding Portuguese wineries claimed to have lost between 50 and 80 percent of their enotourism revenue compared to 2019's results. Meanwhile, four in ten surveyed Spanish wineries stated that revenue losses surpassed 80 percent in the same period.
