Number of leather goods companies in France 2020, by region
French leather goods are internationally renowned thanks to luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton. Similarly to the rest of the French fashion industry, a high proportion of companies producing leather items establish themselves close to Paris. In 2020, more than 85 leather goods companies were based in Île-de-France, making it the French regions with the highest number of active companies in this sector.
