The FIFA World Cup is not only one of the biggest prizes in sport, it also boasts a big prize pot. The total prize money for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar stood at 440 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 40 million U.S. dollars on the previous World Cup in 2018.
