From 2000 to 2024, the number of voters residing abroad eligible to vote in the Dominican Republic's elections has increased. In 2004, around 52,000 voters were registered, while in 2020 this figure was approximately 596,000. For the 2024 elections, 870,000 voters have been estimated.
