Electronic payment methods penetration in Russia in 2019, by age

The largest share of Russian internet commerce users aged between 25 and 34 years preferred to pay for their purchases using online banking, as per nearly 94 percent of respondents from this age group in 2019. Among other generations, this age category also had the largest share of contactless payment customers, measuring at over 57 percent. The most popular service for online payments in the country in 2019 was Sberbank Online.
