Hey there!

My name is Edirin Edewor and I am a Multiple Amazon Bestselling

Author, International Speaker and Event Convener, Coach, Trainer and
Consultant. Most importantly for you, I am the founder of Africa's
largest Facebook Group dedicated to Writers, Authors and
Entrepreneurs.

As at the time I created this Workbook, we have had over 22,000

members. It's been a little over 2 years since we began. I have made
close to $50,000 from my Facebook Groups alone in this time and I
started monetizing my group from Day 1! While my Facebook Group is
not my only audience, it forms the bulk of it.

I have received amazing opportunities simply because I run a Facebook

Group that is engaging and thriving- from International Speaking
engagements to thousand dollar Consulting and even achieving
International Bestseller Status multiple times. I have connected with
amazing people on my group and we have built beautiful friendships.
Most of all, I have helped thousands of people learn the art and skill of
writing, publish their own books, become Amazon Bestselling Authors,
Start Freelance Writing jobs and start their own Publishing businesses.
Many of my members are award winners in their own right.

Till date, I cannot count how many testimonials and messages that
flood my inbox daily, appreciating me for creating this group. That's
truly the best part of what I do. If you're new to Online Business and
have no idea how to navigate the Tech space, Facebook Groups are a
great way to start sharing your message, building an audience and
monetizing your knowledge and I am excited to help you do just that.

I have included a link to a recording of a class I thought for Facebook in

Nigeria for other Facebook Group Owners, on how to Monetize
Facebook Groups. You'll find it a great companion as you go through
this workbook and design your very own profitable Facebook Group.

BEFORE YOU CREATE
YOUR FACEBOOK GROUP
WHAT IS YOUR OBJECTIVE?

Why are you creating a Facebook Group? What do you want

to accomplish? Why is this important to you? How many
people do you want to have in your group in the next 12
months for you to be satisfied with your results? What is
your income objective for the next 12 months? Write it all
down.
BEFORE YOU CREATE
YOUR FACEBOOK GROUP
WHAT IS YOUR GROUP GOING TO BE ABOUT?

What kind of group are you creating? What message do you

want to share in your group? Who are the people you want to
help and work with? What kind of problems do they have
and how does your message help them? What topics will you
be sharing on your group? Is your message monetizable?
Will your audience pay for your message/knowledge? Are
they able to pay? HINT: A group for Teenagers will not pay
you but a group for parents with teens will. write it all down.
BEFORE YOU CREATE
YOUR FACEBOOK GROUP
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF....
It's been 12 months since you created your group. What's a
typical day for you going to be like? What needs to be
happening in your group and in your life as a result of your
group, for you to be satisfied with where you are? This is
your 12 months vision for your group. If you cannot see it,
you cannot achieve it. Close your eyes and visualise where
you want to be financially, where you want to be in terms of
the size of your group and the impact of your message.
Visualize how you want your group members to feel,
visualize their accomplishments. Write it all down.
BRANDING
How do you want your group to look? (logo, brand colours)

How do you want your group to feel? (Brand Message,

Culture)

What do you want your group to represent for your

audience? (Something that only you can provice)
NAMING YOUR GROUP
Naming your group is one of the most important
tasks you must accomplish. It represents your
message, makes it easy to find and attracts your
target audience. Your group must:

Be simple enough.
Be in line with your message.
Be memorable so your audience can easily
remember and share it.
Be unique. You don't want to go naming your
group with a name someone else already has.
be able to be abbreviated reasonably if it is
quite long (My group's name is long - Online
Publishers and Entrepreneurs Network, but is
easily abbreviated to OPEN. Everyone
remembers OPEN.
Must have a reasonable acronym if
abbreviated. See mine above.
Have an informal brand name or a nick name
you and your audience call each other. My
audience and I call ourselves OPENers. It's
always fun when we meet each other offline.
Let's Name Your Group
What name have you chosen for your group? Does it fulfil all
the requirements above?

In 3 short paragraphs, write out the description for your

group. This is where a potential audience member finds
more information on what the group is about.

What are some rules and guidelines you want your

members to follow to get the most out of your group?

Let's Create Your Brand
Message
Your brand message tells people WHO you help, WHAT you help
them with and HOW you help them .

I like to use the XYZ Formula in crafting my brand message. It

simply goes: "I help X solve Y by using Z"

Where X is who I help

Y is what I help them solve
Z is how I help them solve it.

For example, Here's mine: "I help (upwardly mobile

entrepreneurial people) (build and monetize their influence) using
(Published Assets).

Published assets here refers to digital and non-digital content.

See? It's simple, clear and straight to the point.

Now try yours. Find your X, Y and Z and then put it all together.

Your brand message:

Let's Invite People to your Group
Now that you have created your group and you have your brand
message, it's time o invite people to your group. It is against
Facebook's ethics to start adding people to your group, whether
you're already friends with them or not. Facebook doesn't even
allow them automatically join anymore.

To invite people to your group, you have to share your link with
them. That's the URL you customized when you were editing your
settings. If you don't know how to find it, just open your group on
desktop and the url that comes up in the address bar is your
group's link. Copy and save it. you will need it.

Also don't go posting your group's link on your profile asking

everyone to join. You want to fill your group with the people who
actually want your message, so you invite them by giving them
something attractive in line with your message, This is called a
lead magnet. It is a free offer you give to people in exchange for
them joining your group or mailing list. It could be a free eBook,
guide or pdf, a free webinar on the group, a free Virtual Summit or
free training.

For them to access this freebie, they have to click on the link to
your group and join in. If you don't have a lead magnet, now is a
good time to create one. A simple 4-page pdf or a free webinar on a
valuable topic will do. Design a cover for the pdf or a flier for the
webinar and add it to the post where you invite people to join your
group. Don't forget to include your link.

What will your lead magnet be? What will the title be?

Whether you are monetizing for the first time or the

so you know exactly what you are doing. Here are
some questions you need to ask yourself before you
launch a new product or service:

What is my income goal?

What product or service am I offering and at what
price?
How many of my products or services must I sell to
hit my goal?
How am I going to attract buyers? What is my
marketing strategy? What is the size of my audience?
What is my launch plan and how long is it going to
be?
What can I do each day to highlight my products?
What kind of content will I put out that points to my

Facebook Groups Rock!
You can launch your own products without
paying for ads
Build your influence
Leverage social proof from testimonials in your
group to attract opportunities e.g TV and Radio
appearances, connections, speaking
engagements, collaborations and partnerships,
endorsements and awards.
You can leverage a closed group to test ideas,
products and services before going mainstream
Help a lot of people at a time
Launch a brand new career or boost your
existing one
