The Visa Cash App Card is offering $1 Boost\u00a0when you use the card to pay for your light rail ride. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Cash App Card is great for riders who do not have a bank card.\u00a0\u00a0The Cash Card is a free, customizable, and contactless-enabled Visa debit card offered through Cash App. The Cash Card rewards program called Boost offers instant discounts to select retailers, and there is currently a Boost for $1 off each light rail ride on SacRT.<\/p>\n

SacRT light rail riders can tap to ride using contactless fare payment devices on all light rail trains.<\/p>\n

SacRT<\/span>\u00a0partnered with<\/span>\u00a0the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans)<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>V<\/span>isa<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>L<\/span>i<\/span>ttlepay<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and SC<\/span>\u00a0S<\/span>oft<\/span>\u00a0to offer a<\/span>\u00a0contactless<\/span>\u00a0method for payment on\u00a0<\/span>board<\/span>\u00a0light rail trains, which will<\/span>\u00a0help<\/span>\u00a0improve the customer experience<\/span>. The\u00a0<\/span>innovative\u00a0<\/span>touch-free<\/span>\u00a0fare payment technology<\/span>\u00a0allows<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>riders to tap<\/span>\u00a0a contactless credit, debit, prepaid card, or contactless-enabled mobile\u00a0<\/span>or wearable device (e.g.,\u00a0<\/span>smartwatch<\/span>)<\/span>\u00a0to pay fare<\/span>\u00a0when boarding light rail trains<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

SacRT<\/span>\u00a0is the first transit agency in California to introduce a contactless payment solution on\u00a0<\/span>a\u00a0<\/span>light rail train system as part of the California Integrated Travel Project (Cal-ITP), a Caltrans initiative to\u00a0<\/span>facilitate easy and accessible travel planning and payments.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The contactless payment option is limited, initially, to the light rail system (it will not be available on buses) and focuses on establishing an improved rider experience.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
