The year is 2455. The Place is Old Earth. Once the shimmering blue jewel of the galaxy, Old Earth is now a contaminated planet abandoned for centuries. Yet humans have returned to the deadly place that they once fled. Not to live, but to research the ancient rusting artifacts of the bygone civilizations that caused this environmental disaster. And little does the most recent landing party of intrepid young explorers realize the fate that awaits them.

Jason goes to the future, but the story is still stuck in the past.

Empire Magazine Rated: 4/5 Dec 30, 2006 Full Review Sheila Norman-Culp Associated Press By now, despite the nine years since the last Friday the 13th sequel, Jason and his hockey mask are as predictable a franchise as McDonald's. Moviegoers know what they are going to get. Mar 16, 2004 Full Review Robert K. Elder Chicago Tribune Jason X conjures up more giggles than scares, assuming you make it through the first 15 minutes. Rated: 1.5/4 Jul 20, 2002 Full Review Brian Bisesi Horror Movie Club Podcast Ten movies in, the franchise finally and mercifully becomes self-aware. Despite the weak plot and absence of a compelling final girl, the film’s sense of humor keeps the ship on course in one of the franchise’s more entertaining outings. Rated: 3/5 Sep 11, 2024 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media It's not a good movie. Literally no one expects Jason X -- the 10th sequel in the Friday the 13th series -- to be good. Rated: 2/5 Mar 26, 2021 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast There's a lot of dumb fun to be had here, so it only sucks on a few levels. Audience Member It's just dumb like who came up with the idea of jason going to space Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/23/24 Full Review Rowan C Without a doubt, the worst Jason movie to ever exist. I thought the kills were unique and that cast wasn't that great, but what threw me off the most was the horrible idea this movie had. Taking place on a spaceship 455 years later, is basicallly saying that they are out of ideas on what to do with Jason Vorhees. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/21/24 Full Review Yuri M It’s a movie. You’re allowed to have fun . This one’s great if you love jason Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/16/24 Full Review Jinnifer F Really Jason in Space and Future that is really stupid. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review Dane H There are certain movies that are so bad, they're amazing. The Room, Troll 2, Mamma Mia. Jason X deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as these masterpieces. A Jason movie made by someone who had never seen a Friday the 13th film, set in space, is simply the most insane premise in film history. The movie reflects this. The kills are fun, the story is insane, the puns are goodbad, and ultimately it is a satisfying ride for anyone who comes into the experience with a tablespoon of salt. All-time great terrible horror film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/05/24 Full Review Michael H One of the best. Freaking awesome. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
