NetherRealm Studios lead and Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon took to Twitter this week to survey fans on which characters they’d like to see added to fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us in future downloadable content.
Ed Boon posts fan poll for future Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC characters
The DC Universe characters up for consideration in the poll were: Blue Beetle, Doctor Fate, Powergirl, Red Hood (Robin), Static Shock, Swamp Thing and Zatanna. One of the more obvious and oft-requested choices, Martian Manhunter, was excluded from the poll, as Boon said, “He’s #1 on every poll. No point in having him eat up all votes.”
Boon cautioned that the poll on Surveymonkey was unofficial, but that he’d be sharing the results with his Twitter followers.
NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. have confirmed at least four characters will be added to Injustice: Gods Among Us. Two have been confirmed: Lobo and Batgirl.
The developer recently confirmed the game’s character DLC would be coming to the Wii U version of the game sometime this summer.
