Las Vegas, NV (August 21, 2023) — Today, the PokerGO Tour® (PGT®) announced schedule updates to the second half of the 2023 season to better accommodate players. Included in the updates are new dates for the PGT Championship, PGT PLO Series, and PGT Last Chance.
Super High Roller Bowl PLO, a $100,000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha tournament, will now take place October 16-18 at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas. This new event is set to attract the biggest PLO players in the world and the final two days of the tournament will be livestreamed.
Immediately following SHRB PLO is the PGT PLO Series with 10 events running October 19-30. It is the second edition of the PGT PLO Series this season. The first edition drew more than 1,000 entries and awarded nearly $10,000,000 in prize money. Select events from the upcoming PGT PLO Series plan to be livestreamed.
A group of four ARIA High Roller $10,000 NL Hold’em tournaments have been added in the window of November 27-30, and the PGT Last Chance series has new dates of January 2-7, 2024. The first-of-its-kind PGT Last Chance series is exactly what the name suggests: a last-chance series giving players the opportunity to both improve their leaderboard standing and qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship.
The PGT Last Chance series will have its own dedicated series leaderboard and award a Dream Seat to the top point earner who has not already qualified for the PGT Championship. The Dream Seat qualifies a player to compete in the PGT Championship.
The PGT Last Chance series will also play an important role in determining the winner of the PGT’s $50,000 season-long leaderboard prize, which will be awarded to the player to have earned the most points over the course of the entire regular season.
Closing out the PGT season is the PGT Championship, now scheduled for January 9-10, 2024, at the PokerGO Studio. The top 40 players as ranked by the PGT leaderboard qualify for this $1,000,000 freeroll tournament, with starting chips determined by the number of points earned during the regular season. First place is set at $500,000 with additional payouts for the final table.
Next up for the PGT is the 2023 Poker Masters scheduled to begin on September 14. The 2023 Poker Masters features 10 events including the $50,000 finale. Entering the 2023 Poker Masters, WSOP Main Event winner Daniel Weinman leads the PGT leaderboard with 2,300 points.
