The background
CourtCorrect is a startup developing ground-breaking AI solutions to solve disputes and complaints between companies and their customers. Its core offering is an AI complaints and claims management system based on large language model technology, like OpenAI’s GPT-4 and Anthropic’s Claude, which is designed to structure complaints data, propose solutions, complete regulatory checks and draft customer communications. The platform has gained recognition across Europe and Asia, with a fast-growing customer-base that includes major brands in the insurance, finance, energy and higher education sectors.
The challenge
As the CourtCorrect AI model processes large amounts of data, it requires high-performance database and storage solutions. To meet this requirement, CourtCorrect partnered with a large US-based cloud provider, but started having concerns about data privacy due to the CLOUD Act - a US regulation stipulating that law enforcement agencies can request US-based technology providers to disclose their customers’ data, even if that data is located outside the US. To avoid putting its customers’ data at risk, CourtCorrect needed a new cloud provider that could ensure data privacy, without compromising on cost or performance.
We chose OVHcloud because it is a European company with multiple datacentres based in Europe, so provided the data security that we needed. As a growing startup, it’s important that our tools are fit for purpose and optimised for costs, and one of the main reasons we chose OVHcloud was due to its much more competitive pricing. Since the switch, we haven’t encountered any issues relating to the security of our data.

The solution
CourtCorrect found what it was looking for in OVHcloud - a large European cloud provider committed to data sovereignty and offering a competitive price-performance ratio. With multiple European datacentres under the jurisdiction of EU data protection laws, OVHcloud is one of the only cloud providers that can guarantee its customers’ data is protected against US state surveillance. This enables its customers to comply with laws such as GDPR, and the requirements of regulated industries e.g. finance and healthcare.
To optimise its database and storage operations, CourtCorrect decided to leverage solutions from the OVHcloud Public Cloud ecosystem. As a startup, the company was eligible to join the OVHcloud Startup Program, which helps small businesses to build their cloud infrastructure and drive growth using free resources and credits for Public Cloud. CourtCorrect joined the program and spent its credits on OVHcloud Managed Databases and OVHcloud Object Storage.
Managed Databases is a fully managed Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solution designed to help businesses cut costs and save time when handling data. Using this service, companies can choose from a wide range of database engines on which to host their data, whilst OVHcloud’s technical experts handle the maintenance e.g. backup, security and scalability. This is ideal for busy IT teams who need to remove the burden of database management and focus on more critical tasks. For performance, CourtCorrect chose the MongoDB and PostgresSQL database engines, which delivered the availability and fast read-write speeds required to run AI models. Furthermore, as Managed Databases is hosted on OVHcloud’s Public Cloud, this ensured that CourtCorrect’s data would be processed in compliance with EU regulations.
Object Storage is a cloud storage solution built for storing unstructured data. It organises data into units (objects) that also contain metadata and an identifier for simple access and retrieval. As Object Storage offers unlimited storage with transparent pay-as-you-go billing, it is well-suited for AI uses cases such as CourtCorrect, where large volumes of data are processed, and cost is a major concern. Object Storage also offers several features to enhance data security, compliance and resilience, such as Access Control List (ACL) Management, Server-Side Encryption (SSE), and Object Lock. These capabilities enabled CourtCorrect to comply with data retention periods in specific industries and protect customer data from unauthorised access, accidental deletion, loss or corruption.
The result
Thanks to OVHcloud, CourtCorrect can now guarantee compliance, privacy and protection for its customers’ data. With datacentres based in Europe, OVHcloud’s solutions comply with EU data regulations and offer a sovereign cloud shielded from outside interference. This is essential for companies operating within the AI space like CourtCorrect, who process large volumes of data and must ensure compliance with local data laws. Using Managed Databases and Object Storage, CourtCorrect experienced a 20% cost saving compared to its previous provider, alongside increased efficiency, scalability and performance across its data operations. Joining the Startup Program also offered multiple benefits for CourtCorrect, enabling the company to leverage free cloud credits, expertise and networking opportunities.
Looking ahead, CourtCorrect plans to train its own foundational AI models and Large Language Models (LLMs), which will support expansion into new verticals and further AI innovation.
