The Basilica of Santa Sabina
The basilica itself became the conventual church of the community of the Friars Preachers and is still so today. The Romans appreciate Santa Sabina as one of the most popular basilicas for wedding celebrations. Pilgrims and tourists appreciate the calm and welcoming atmosphere. For the Dominican Family, Santa Sabina is a place that refers to the holy founder of the Order who lived, prayed and preached there, as well as to the headquarters of the General Curia of the Friar Preachers and the Master of the Order.
As Dominicans, we are happy to welcome you to this basilica and we also (whenever possible) welcome groups who wish to celebrate Holy Mass in the basilica or be accompanied for a guided tour in it. For any request concerning the celebration of a wedding in Santa Sabina, you can also contact the rector of the basilica.
