utoh th west PAGE 4 SPECTRUM WEDNESDAY, MAY 5,1982 Utah Briefs Permitting him to file Huish seeks a court order Post to be retained SALT LAKE CITY (UPI) Voter approval of a change in the Utah Constitution allowing the lieutenant governor to run in tandem with the governor, was interpreted by a state committee Monday as a mandate to retain the post. Because of that mandate, the Committee on Executive Reorganization voted Monday against studying a proposal to abolish the office. The committee was acting on the request from Jack T. Higginbotham chairman of the CER Executive Management Subcommittee who suggested most of the lieutenant governor's duties be transferred to other agencies and the office abolished. Father pleads guilty SALT LAKE CITY (UPI) A 25-year-old Salt Lake City father has pleaded guilty to a child abuse charge for shaking his two-month-old son so vigorously the boy suffered brain damage.
