Central Park gets its Central Park now has a new group of distinguished citizens whose goal is to generate private resources that will supplement the Parks Department's operations there. Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau and Frank Williams, president of the Phelps-Stokes Fund, are the two other members designated to the Conservancy by Mayor Koch. "The city is indeed fortunate to have publicspirited citizens like these who believe that Central is a cultural resource that deserves the same of support as our great museums, botanical and other institutions," Koch said in an- own fun He said the Conservancy will provide "a much needed supplement to the city's continuing support of Central Park."
