‘Love, Victor’ Season 2 Begins Production
After a renewal in back in August 2020, fans have been anxiously awaiting updates on the second season of Love, Victor. Beginning on November 5 and through the weekend, some of the cast — including Isabella Ferreira, Michael Cimino (on his story), and James Martinez — shared photos on Instagram of themselves prepping to film season 2, along with executive producer Jason Ensler sharing looks behind-the-scenes. Today, Michael Cimino, Bebe Wood, and George Sear (with more sure to come) have shared via Instagram stories that the Hulu original series has officially started filming season 2!
Love, Victor follows Victor Salazar, a high schooler whose family moves from Texas to Georgia, where Victor and his sister Pilar attend Creekwood High School. Throughout the show, Victor adjusts to the new change of venue, struggles with his parents’ rocky marriage, and struggles to understand and accept his sexual identity. Love, Victor is set in the same universe as the film Love, Simon (based on the book by Becky Albertalli). It was created by Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker, with Brian Tanen as showrunner.
The series cast includes Michael Cimino as Victor, Anthony Turpel, Rachel Hilson, Bebe Wood, Ana Ortiz, George Sear, James Martinez, Mateo Fernandez, Mason Gooding, and Isabella Ferreira. Betsy Brandt will join the cast in a recurring role as Dawn, Felix’s mother.
