David has been with the MSA since 2009, where he got his start as Director and Cups commissioner. He then spent 10 years as Vice President. Now, in his third year as President of the Association, David also chairs our Diversity & SafeSport Committees and controls our web presence. David also operates as Chair of Technology for the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). In his 45th year on the pitch, David still plays the game he loves, while sharing his knowledge of the game with the next generation, coaching both of his girls' youth teams.

Joining the MSA in 2017, she began as the Head Marketing Chair (Marketing Director). Was appointed as Corresponding Secretary in 2019. She oversees the associations social media. Currently she is the President of the Great Lakes Women’s Soccer League. Elma was First Team, All-State honors from Warren Mott High School. She received a scholarship at Missouri Valley College. Transferred home to Oakland University and was on the club team that qualified for NCAA. Elma is a goalie for the Carpathia Kickers in the GLWSL premier divisions. She has a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications from the College for Creative Studies and is employed by Rolls-Royce Power Systems on their global marketing team as the Creative Lead, overseeing North and Latin America.
MICHAEL BRENNAN
Treasurer
Mike Brennan is the Treasurer of the MSA and last February was inducted into the MSA Hall of Fame. His induction was not related to his prowess on the soccer field, but in recognition for his leadership and organization for progressing soccer in the State. He was the organizer of the Michigan Independent Soccer League for ten years, and then joined the MUSL and served in every position on their Board. He played for Ferndale O40/48/50 and for Rochester FC and Anchor Bay O55. Now in his eighties, he is still playing and his sportsmanship and love of the game is for all to see. He is an avid watcher of thee EPL and a loyal West Ham supporter.
In addition to his soccer, he is a participant in the Michigan Senior Olympics track and field events 50m/100m/200m/Long Jump and has won his fair share of gold silver and bronze in those events. He currently holds the State record for the 50m sprint. So you could say he is "fast on his feet!"

RICK COOK

Rick Cook comes to us from the MUSL, where he was the past president for nearly 20 years. He is also part of WHAM SC, playing in the MUSL, where he has been the Club Director, coach, and a player since 1996. Rick has also coached all youth age groups from U9-U-19 and has also been coaching high school JVB soccer for girls and boys for the last six years.
RYAN B. OKERSTROM

Ryan has been an active member of the Michigan soccer scene since 1976. He played for multiple State Championship teams as a youth before playing four years at Livonia Churchill. Ryan shifted his sports focus to hockey in college, but never stopped playing soccer. Ryan has played for and managed the Canton Celtic teams in the MUSL since 2001 and was elected to the MUSL Board of Directors in 2017. As the Director of Competition for the MUSL, he has successfully managed the largest adult soccer league in Michigan and third largest in the country. Ryan has also been a referee and has coached youth soccer for the Livonia Soccer Club for years. When he's not dealing with soccer, Ryan is the Vice President of Operations for an international security company based in Clawson, Michigan.
