A solid movie from start to finish where an Amish boy witnesses a murder in the big city .. and higher-ups don't want this crime solved.My favourite part was the ending. A man and a woman may have gone through something stressful and significant .. and even like each other. But that won't bridge the huge gap in their lives (a big-city cop and an Amish woman). Back in the 80's, Harrison Ford completely ruled and literally all his movies were either huge financial success and/or critically acclaimed (as a matter of fact, between 1980 and 1983, 4 years in a row, a movie starring Harrison Ford was voted best movie of the year in Imdb!) Australian Peter Weir's first Hollywood film tells the story of John Book (Harrison Ford), a Philadelphia cop whose life is altered while trying to help Rachel (Kelly McGillis), an Amish woman, and her son Samuel (Lukas Haas), who witnesses a murder in a Philadelphia train station bathroom.
