A Ghostbusters triple feature

Ralph Macchio stars in two very different movies that highlight some form of racism or oppression in the Deep South. This can be turned into a triple feature by adding another Ralph Macchio film like Karate Kid, making it a Macchio Marathon instead of an oppression marathon. Any Macchio movie can be added to make it a Macchio triple feature, although Karate Kid also touches on some racism in the form of appropriation and Orientalism in California, which is not the same as oppression in the Deep South but can keep it somewhat related.

The new era of musicals on screen in a world that has forgotten the charm of classic musicals. Now we need an explanation for why characters break into song and dance. The modern take on musicals seem to introduce an element of fantasy and absurdism to accept the music.

Women spy films in the tradition of James Bond with a focus on action rather than pure thriller or drama.

For an epitomal triple feature, skip Salt, but for an all-English / all action triple feature, skip Nikita.

With Nikita, Atomic, & Salt you have women working for governments (so, spies in the "truest" sense; in Haywire she is only a contract asset) and all carry a similar, stylized deviation from realism (whereas Haywire is flawlessly realistic). But with Haywire, Atomic, and Salt, you have heavy action (and all English speaking).
