Meet the 2024 ICON A5

Add More to Your Adventures

Chances are, if we asked you to name a sports car or a sport bike, you could do it. But what about a sport plane? The ICON A5 is meant not for commercial or commuter flight, but rather to enjoy the sheer adventure of flying. It turns flying from a mode of transportation to a sport – what flying was meant to be. New for 2024, the A5 now includes a 4-blade propeller and a higher gross weight, so you can add more to your adventures.

Engine

Rotax 912iS Sport

Among the most widely used light aircraft engines, the Rotax 912 is reliable, lightweight, and efficient. The A5 uses the electronically fuel-injected version, the 912 iS Sport, which delivers even better efficiency and extremely simple operation in all conditions. It accepts 100LL, unleaded (UL91/94), and 91 octane auto gasoline.

Lighting

Advanced Running Lights

The A5 uses LEDs for all exterior lighting. In addition to consuming less energy and generating less heat, they are lightweight, exceptionally bright and allow very sharply defined beams. Custom LED landing and taxi light assemblies are a defining part of the A5’s design.
Folding Wings

Folding Wings

Easy as 1, 2, 3. It takes one person just two minutes to unfold the A5’s wings and be ready for the open skies. Elegantly simple.
Seawings

Seawings™ Platforms

These platforms provide stability on the water as well as convenient platforms to check engine vitals and enter the aircraft on land, from a dock, or from the water. The tips are removable in a matter of minutes, so they can be replaced if damaged.

Unlock the world.

Re-imagine where you can explore.
