CBS’ summer drama Zoo is adding a Game of Thrones alum to its ranks.
Nonso Anozie, who played Xaro Xhoan Daxos on the HBO fantasy drama, has booked a series regular role in the network’s James Patterson drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Zoo is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans across the planet. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, a young renegade biologist (The Crazy Ones’ James Wolk) is thrust into the race to unlock the pandemic’s mystery before there’s no place left for people to hide.

Anozie will play Abraham, a Botswanan safari tour guide with a deep understanding of wildlife — and an even deeper empathy for the struggles of humanity.
He joins a cast that also includes Nora Arnezeder as Chloe, a sophisticated, strong and worldly former diplomat who is concerned about the unusual animal activity and takes refuge with Jackson (Wolk).
Anozie, repped by Paradigm, also co-starred in NBC’s short-lived Dracula. He next appears in Pan and Cinderella.
Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg will exec produce alongside James Mangold, Cathy Konrad, Patterson, Bill Robinson, Leopoldo Gout and Steve Bowen. Brad Anderson is directing the CBS Television Studios drama, which was picked up straight to series and has a second-screen window on Netflix.
