He was previously the representative for Connecticut’s 2nd congressional district as a Democrat from Dec 7, 1863 to Mar 3, 1865; and the representative for Connecticut’s 2nd congressional district as a Democrat from Jul 4, 1861 to Mar 3, 1863.
