Our Programs
Since 1980, Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana has been leading the fight against hunger in Indiana. Utilizing a variety of innovative programs and services, we aim to both support and empower our neighbors by expanding access, equity and education of food resources.
Drive-thru Pantry
Adjacent to the Gleaners warehouse, the drive-thru pantry is Indiana’s largest food pantry.
The pantry is open four days a week and offers a variety of pickup times. The pantry is a model for other hunger relief agencies, implementing best practices and innovative services designed to not just feed the hungry, but maintain their dignity and respect.
Home Delivery
Starting as a response to the pandemic, our Home Delivery program has evolved to a permanent program for home-bound, Marion County residents.
This emergency-use service provides neighbors in need with shelf-stable food items and fresh produce delivered straight to their residence.
Gleaners2Go
Gleaners2Go offers neighbors who have a standing relationship with our partner sites the opportunity to choose food items online and select a time for pick-up.

CARE Program
The Community Action Relief Effort (CARE) Program began in 2014 in partnership with Indianapolis public safety departments after a review of public safety and quality of life in the city found a connection between hunger and crime. Our CARE mobile pantries are placed in areas of Marion County that have higher crime and unemployment rates, are lacking in educational achievement, and where neighbors indicated feelings of isolation.
