The Glasgow DJ Jack Revill, known by his stage name Jackmaster and celebrated for his influential role in the music scene, will be remembered at his funeral today after he sadly passed away last month in Ibiza at the age of 38.

The service is set to take place this afternoon at Clydebank Crematorium, on Thursday, November 7.

Jack's untimely death on October 12 came as a shock, resulting from "complications arising from an accidental head injury". The ceremony is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm, with Jack's brother Sean inviting all who held the DJ dear, also extending gratitude for the outpouring of support during this difficult time.

Before achieving international acclaim, the Glasgow-born talent made his mark at the well-known record store Rubadub and later co-founded the esteemed label Numbers. His passion for the industry was ever-present, as evident in his recent interview with Electronic Groove where he shared the excitement behind his latest single Nitro with Kid Enigma, saying, "It was about feeling hyped and inspired in the club."

He mourned the rarity of such moments nowadays, lamenting, "Sadly, those moments are rare now. Blame the phones and people who don't dance, I think."
