Something wonderful has happened--Number Five is alive! Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy co-star in this high tech comedy adventure about Number Five, a robot who escapes into the real world after he short circuits in an electrical storm and decides that he's human. Because he's carrying destructive weapons, the Defense Department and his designer (Guttenberg) are desperate to find him. But Number Five is being protected by a young woman (Sheedy) who is teaching him a gentler way of life. (texto oficial do distribuidor)

I remembered this movie in my head as much better and more interesting than it actually is, and as a child, I really liked it. To a certain extent, it still remains, because Number 5 is still an adorable robot. I just noticed that it's more crazy than I ever thought. G. W. Bailey and Steve Guttenberg will also be remembered for their acting in Police Academy, just as Number 5 is remembered for E.T. ()
A film of my childhood, I still remember fondly watching it at the cinema. In the years since I haven't seen it, Number 5 has corroded a bit, but it's still an enjoyable film that's not too American and it's pleasantly funny. ()
Who wouldn't love this cute robot? It has such cute eyes, lots pleasant humour and a charm and humanity that often surpasses even Spielberg's extraterrestrial. And with actors like Guttenberg, Bailey and the likeable Ally Sheedy running around, you can't help but have a great time. ()
