Well, yes, it's infantile, but not nearly as much as I feared (after the second Despicable Me). Jokes for young and old, great music, the simplest possible story, yet also a surprisingly evolving story, great dubbing - both the original and the Czech... And an ending that makes you want to immediately watch the first Despicable Me. Then why not? ()

anglais The funniest characters from the Despicable Me finally got their own movie, but I have to say that I’m quite disappointed with the final result. What bothered me the most were the human characters, who came across as too awkward and infantile. Sure, it's for kids, but everything has its limits, right? The Minions themselves were funny and cute, but they kept repeating the same jokes over and over, so it wasn't as entertaining towards the end as it was at the beginning. I'm sorry to say that The Minions are more suited to secondary roles in the original films with Gru or in the shorts. All in all, a mediocre film that, while entertaining, I just expected something better. ()

anglais After the trailer, I expected it to be a real hit, but unfortunately, I just confirmed that trailers often reveal too much. In this case, all the best scenes appeared in the trailer. This is simply the problem with the film industry. I enjoyed the film, but it's just not anything special. Not when you see the best stuff before the actual screening as a commercial. ()

anglais I have nothing against them, I like them very much, but the Minions didn’t deserve such a tragic story for their first solo outing. The opening, when the hyperactive yellow creatures travel across history, works brilliantly and delivers exactly what we were looking forward to. The rest, due to the extremely unlikeable plot and the absence of any at least partially adult jokes, is just an artificially set-up mush, where it becomes more and more painfully apparent that the "outlandish" humour is suitable only for punchy shorts, not for ambitious feature films. I really feel sorry for all the parents who had to endure this with their children in the cinema – although seeing the kids’ enthusiasm is certainly a sufficient patch; at least from this point of view this film has my partial admiration... anglais I would never have guessed that I would go to the movie theater to watch yellow jumping beans, but I did. The gags work excellently with the kids and adults will be delighted with the mass of references to important events, especially those relevant to the UK. Probably I will never watch this again, but occasionally it was rather entertaining. ()
