From the Texas/Oklahoma State Line near Burkburnett via Wichita Falls, Seymour, Haskell, Stamford, Anson, Abilene, Caps, View, Bronte, San Angelo, Eldorado, Sonora and Del Rio to the International Boundary. Rerouted between Abilene and San Angelo.
From the Texas-Oklahoma State Line 2.0 miles east of Burkburnett to Burkburnett, Wichita Falls, Seymour, Stamford, Abilene and San Angelo, to a connection with US 90 approximately 4.0 miles north of Del Rio to Del Rio, then over the present SH 85 to Eagle Pass; thence over present SH 85 to a connection with US83 at Carrizo Springs, with a spur connection from US 277 to the International Border at Del Rio and a spur connection from US 277 to the International Border at Eagle Pass. Route extended from Del Rio to a junction with US 83 at Carrizo Springs, with a spur connection from US 277 to the International Border at Eagle Pass. Old section from US 277 to the International Border at Del Rio to be identified as SS 239 connection.
