From US 281, 0.5 mile south of San Manuel, westward, thence northwestward, to intersection with FM 755 south of Santa Elena, thence westward and northwestward to the Jim Hogg County Line, a distance of approximately 36.8 miles. (Hidalgo and Starr County) Extended 14.5 miles to the Starr County Line in Hidalgo County. FM 1431 canceled and combined (10.0 miles added); FM 1429 canceled and combined (9.3 miles added).
From SH 285 southeast of Hebbronville, southward and southeastward via La Gloria to US 281, 0.5 mile south of San Manuel, a distance of approximately 69.0 miles. (Jim Hogg, Starr, and Hidalgo Counties) Extended approximately 38.0 miles to SH 85 southeast of Hebbronville.
From SH 285 southeast of Hebbronville, southward to FM 755 approximately 0.4 mile southwest of La Gloria, and from another point on FM 755 at La Gloria southeastward to US 281, approximately 0.5 mile south of San Manuel, a distance of approximately 68.6 miles.
