One popstar inspires another, as Adele revealed that her live performance at this year's Brit Awards was influenced by an image Katy Perry shared on her Instagram. 

That snap was of Perry visiting the Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room - The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away at The Broad museum in Los Angeles.

Adele, who didn't know where the photograph was taken, liked it so much that she showed it to her creative director. 

"It happens to be by her favorite artist, which I thought was ironic considering I saw it completely independent," Adele said in an interview with The Broad.

Adele filmed a performance in the same Infinity Mirrored Room and used the film during her Brit Awards performance of 'When We Were Young'.

"I decided that I would love for this to be a part of my 'When We Were Young' performance at the Brit Awards in the UK, because you kind of see different versions of yourself from every angle and 'When We Were Young' is kind of based on my life from childhood up until now," she explained. 

On the night of the Brit Awards, Adele took home multiple awards including British Female Solo Artist and British Album of the Year.
