Who WE Are – Ken Stapleford
For the love of science.
A life long Colonial, Ken credits finding his passion for science to his teachers at William Penn. Taking AP courses while in high school, Stapleford found opportunities to explore and excel in a field that he now calls a career. A 1999 WP grad, he went on to major in Biochemistry at the University of Delaware and now is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at NYU. There, he teaches virology to medical students while also conducting biomedical research on how a virus can cause disease and therapies related to them. “My advice for students, whatever path they choose, is to find something you are passionate about and go all in.”
