Who We Are – Joanne Johnson
Nutrition Services worker Joanne Johnson has been among those serving the community during the health crisis that prompted Colonial to increase its Grab and Go Meal Program to unprecedented numbers. Johnson has worked in the Nutrition Services Division for 14 years and says preparing and distributing healthy meals at this time makes her thankful to be a part of Colonial Nation. She feels that teamwork makes a huge difference in the lives of students because everyone shares the same vision and dedication.
“The most rewarding part of working during a health crisis is knowing that I’m able to help our kids have a meal every day and they don’t go hungry in a time of need,” she says. Johnson misses the students at Pleasantville where her granddaughter attends classes. “I LOVE my job and getting to see the big smiles on the kid’s faces is priceless. I do my job with pride and love!” she says.
Colonial Nation is thankful to have employees like Joanne Johnson because she is a vital part of the district’s award-winning Nutrition Services Division where the staff constantly shows its devotion to students.
