It's been a cold but clear start to the week across the North East, with snow and sleet expected to be on the way.
A yellow warning for snow and ice is in place from 7pm tonight until 10am on Tuesday. A Met Office map has shown when and where North East residents can expect the snow to hit across those 15 hours.
The Met Office has urged motorists to be careful on the roads and to expect possible disruption on public transport. The forecaster said: "There is a small chance that power cuts will occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.
"A small chance that untreated pavements and cycle paths become impassable. There is a slight chance that bus and train services may be delayed or cancelled, with some road closures and longer journey times.
"There is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel."
Here is a look at where the North East is expecting to see snow, how much and when, according to the most up-to-date Met Office map. The information was correct at the time of writing.
Monday, November 18
10.30pm: Up to 0.5 mm/hour in parts of County Durham, including South Wingate and Elwick.
11pm: Up to 0.5 mm/hour in parts of County Durham, including Kirk Merrington and Ferryhill.
11.45pm: Up to 0.5mm/hour in the North Pennines National Landscape.
Tuesday, November 19
12.30am: Up to 4mm/hour in Newcastle. Up to 0.5 mm/hour in Sunderland and some parts of County Durham, including Consett and Bishop Auckland.
1am: Up to 4 mm/hour in Newcastle, Gateshead, some parts of County Durham, and areas near Sunderland. Up to 0.5mm/hour in many County Durham areas.
1.30am: Up to 4mm/hour in Consett and surrounding areas, around Chester-le-Street, and near the Northumberland Coast. Up to 0.5mm in much of County Durham and in areas around Morpeth.
2am: Up to 4mm around Wooler, Northumberland; south of Consett and in the North Pennines. Up to 0.5mm in many parts of County Durham, near Wooler and Morpeth.
3am: Up to 4mm in Northumberland National Park, around Rothbury, and in Gateshead and County Durham. Up to 0.5mm in several parts of Northumberland and County Durham.
4am: Up to 4mm near Ashington and in the North Pennines. Up to 0.5mm in Northumberland National Park and large parts of County Durham.
5am: Up to 4mm in North Pennines, near Middleton-in-Teesdale. Up to 0.5mm in several areas of Northumberland, including the National Park.
6am: Up to 4mm in parts of Morpeth and south west Northumberland. Up to 0.5mm in areas of Northumberland.
7am: Up to 4mm in Northumberland National Park, west of Wooler and around Morpeth. Up to 0.5mm in several areas of Northumberland and to the south east of Consett.
8am: Up to 0.5mm in some areas of Northumberland.
9am: Up to 4mm near Wooler and north west of Newcastle. Up to 0.5mm in several areas in Northumberland.
10am: Up to 0.5mm in some areas of Northumberland.
