Dan Rashovich Retires

Dan Rashovich of the Saskatchewan Roughriders rode off into retirement today.

When next we see him, he'll likely be hitching his helmet in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

One of the longest-serving Riders, Rashovich was both durable and reliable.

Over 16 seasons, he played 255 games, more than any other linebacker in CFL history.

He leaves Saskatchewan as its all-time leading special tackler with 414 and 23 quarterback sacks.

The 39 year-old was drafted by the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1984, then played for Toronto before spending his final 13 seasons in Regina.

Rashovich won a Grey Cup with the Riders in 1989.
