Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is the world's first publicly accessible art storage facility. Located next to Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam's Museumpark, its visitors can see the result of 173 years of collecting. More than 154,000 objects are now stored, conserved and displayed in 14 spaces across five climate zones. As well as works of art, the processes behind managing and maintaining the collection are also on display.
The Depot boasts a stunning exterior and a spectacular interior. Take the glass lift to the sixth floor and discover something even more special: a panoramic view over the city from the roof terrace, as well as Restaurant Renilde and Coert Hall. Both are located amongst a green oasis at almost 40 metres above the ground.
Coert is a bright, open, and multifunctional space of over 200 square metres. Full-height windows allow daylight to stream in, with views over the beautiful greenery of the roof terrace and the city skyline. The room is equipped with basic technology such as a projector with screen and sound, and there's always the possibility to add more audiovisual features. With the help our external partners, Coert can be adapted for a multitude of different set-ups, meaning each event can be tailor-made for you.
Across the glass atrium from Coert is Restaurant Renilde, offering seating for up to 120 guests. In the blink of an eye, Renilde's beautiful, architect-designed wooden tables can fold away to create an event space of 200 square metres.

These arrangements take into account reception and break space in the hall as standard. Naturally, even more is possible by combining both the Coert and Renilde spaces. Our Catering& Events team will be happy to think along with you and discuss the many possibilities to help make your event a success.
Coert can be booked separately or together with the entire sixth floor, increasing capacity to 300 guests. We work with external partners for furniture and decoration, meaning every event can be organised according to suit your needs to help make every event unique.
Events are catered by Renilde's own kitchen staff, where the Depot's passion for sustainability plays an important role in all the food. Using as many local and seasonal products as possible, Renilde lets the availability of fresh produce determine different menus for every event, alongside various lunch and drink packages.
It is also possible to book a guided tour during your event. Dressed in a Depot dust jacket, you can enter the Depot spaces together with our guides – it's a unique experience you can't get anywhere else!
