Leander Dendoncker: Aston Villa midfielder joins Napoli on loan for rest of season

Aston Villa midfielder Leander Dendoncker has joined Italian club Napoli on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
The 28-year-old has made eight appearances for Villa in the Premier League this season but seven of those have been as a substitute.
Belgium international Dendoncker joined Villa from Wolverhampton Wanders for £13m in September 2022.
He has made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Villans.
Dendoncker scored his only goal for Villa in their 3-2 defeat by Manchester United last month on a rare Premier League start.
He is the second player to leave Villa in the January transfer window following attacking midfielder Finn Azaz's permanent switch to Middlesbrough.
Villa boss Unai Emery signed defender Kosta Nedeljkovic for an undisclosed fee from Red Star Belgrade earlier this week with the 18-year-old remaining with the Serbian club for the remainder of the season.
Napoli are currently ninth in Serie A having won their first Scudetto in 33 years last season.
