Three Reasons to Join
Reason 1: It’s not simply a shooting club
The Artists Rifles Clubhouse is far more than a shooting club. A quick look at the walls decorated with a rich regimental history confirms you are in one of the most exclusive clubs in Britain. It is an active, vibrant environment with a packed schedule of regular talks from leading journalists, military personnel and adventurers. With roaring log fires, well stocked cellars and a comfortable bar, the Clubhouse provides a convivial atmosphere where you can relax with friends and family.
Members enjoy fine dining, good wine and impeccable service. Drop in for Sunday lunch, join us for one of our regular lunches or evening suppers or simply pop in for a drink.
There are many reasons for becoming a social member:
- Comfortable colonial style clubhouse.
- Regular social events.
- Programme of talks from celebrated individuals.
- Discounted rates for accommodation.
- Discounts for private functions.
- Lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Situated in the heart of the rolling Surrey countryside, the Artists Rifles Clubhouse is your place in the country: a place to relax among friends, somewhere to hold that special meeting or party.
Reason 2: It’s not simply a Social Club
Members of the Artists Rifles Clubhouse lead full, active lives. Our members use the Clubhouse as a base for their sporting activities. Members meet up with ex-colleagues to plan expeditions and activities. Our extraordinary members engage in extraordinary projects. One of our members, Neil Laughton, gave a talk on his expedition to Timbuktu in a flying car.
If you are eligible to join the Artists Rifles Clubhouse, you will find like minded individuals who share your sense of fun, adventure and appetite for life.
At the weekend the bar is full of an eclectic group of characters and adventurers. The Clubhouse is a place where expeditions and activities first see the light of day and, on successful completion, members share their experiences through our programme of regular talks.
Accommodation is clean and comfortable. The Clubhouse often serves as a base for members shooting at Bisley, attending functions or just to get away form it all and relax.
Reason 3: And it’s a shooting club as well!
The Artists Rifles Clubhouse is home to the Mars & Minerva Shooting Club and is fantastically situated in the world famous Bisley range complex, over-looking the most famous of all the ranges, Century Range. Members benefit from Olympic standard facilities and coaching. Whether you are an experienced marksman, beginner or competent military shooter, you can enjoy brushing up on your skills on a variety of ranges and shooting disciplines.
