I have two question for you.
- Did you install the plugin fresh? If so, which version did you install?
- What exactly do you mean by “I got blank pages”. Where exactly?

I installed the 1.4.8 version today.
I have two sites interlinked with almost 7000 posts and I have changed the permalinks structure (it’s the same structure but different a little). so when I activate the plugin, the page doesn’t load, it show a blank page. I have to reload that page three times and wait 10mn and if I’m lucky the I got redirected to the right url or it’s always showing that blank page (page not loaded).
This sounds like something very specific to your setup (server + database + amount of posts) and I’m afraid I don’t have enough information here to go by, sorry.
We’ve released version 1.4.9 just now that could mitigate the issue you were experiencing. Please let us know if that’s the case.
You should, by the way, really start moving your site to a newer version of PHP. You can read here about why it’s smart on many levels to move to a newer version of PHP.
