Who We Are

Kipkeino Foundation is a registered non-profit organization in the USA and implementing in Kenya, whose objective is to improve the living standard of people in Kenya and Africa

What We Do

We create a better future for young people by improving their employability and key life skills, through our sports and education-themed personal development programs

Why We Do It

We believe every young person has the potential to do great things. We believe that through sports, youths are given the tools to explore, learn, invent, and develop

Kipkeino

Kipkeino was born in Kipsamo, Nandi District, Kenya on 17 January 1940. His name, Kipchoge, is a Nandi language expression for “born near the grain storage shed”.
Tragically, Kipkeino lost his parents when he was young. He was then raised by an aunt.
Keino’s father, a long-distance runner, introduced his son to the sport. However, it was only later in his adult life that Keino took up the sport.
