Champion Older Mare, 1917.Hall Of Fame inductee, 1957.Horse of Year & CH 3YO, 1915.The first filly to win the Kentucky Derby.Her career began with a win in the Saratoga Special on August 8, 1914, against an all-male field. Regret is often credited for bring the Kentucky Derby to the national status that it enjoys today. In Winn’s own words "Regret did not fail us. The Derby thus was made an American institution." She died in 1934 and was buried at the Whitney Farm.
