According to a source close to the situation (read: had an interview with them), the much ballyhooed "TMZ Sports" site is slated to begin around mid-March. It will be a separate site, but not as tabloid-y as expected.
The focus, according to the source (yes, I hate the word, too) will be on breaking news and not "all negative" reports. They're currently in the process of interviewing writers, editors and producers for the site, but it's unclear if the site will be managed by Harvey Levin or an outside individual with closer ties to the sports media world.
Oh, and Steven Jackson apparently got a little rough with his pregnant girlfriend at one time.
