GeneralEARLY SOCHI BLUES
He took a bit of time to adjust to the Iceberg Skating Palace during his first training session there at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. "At the beginning it was a little slow because I had to get used to the fact that everything was blue, the seats and everything. Then it got better. I was just getting used to the ice and running the regular routine." (ONS, 05 Feb 2014)
TRAINING SWITCH
In 2012 he changed coaches and moved to the United States. "I just felt like I needed something new. I had been training in Oberstdorf, Germany for six years. I would never say that my coaches Petr Starec and Karel Fajfr were bad or anything. I just felt like I needed a change." (icenetwork.com, 25 Aug 2012)
