The Miami Marlins are one of the most famous and successful professional baseball teams in the history of the Major League Baseball (MLB). Based in Miami, Florida, the team was established in 1993 as the “Florida Marlins” and their current name was adapted in November 2011. Their current home stadium is Marlins Park in downtown Miami.

The Marlins have won the World Series twice; becoming the champions in both of their appearances in 1997 and 2003.

Shape and Colors of the Miami Marlins Logo

The current version of the Miami Marlins logo was unveiled in November 2011. It consists of a stylized “M” and orange and blue marlin leaping over the team’s name. It received much criticism from loyal Marlins fans and design experts for being too “cartoonish” and “strangely futuristic”.

The previous logo of the Miami Marlins consisted of a marlin going through silver circle with the team’s original name, “Florida Marlins”, and a baseball. It was unveiled in July 1991.
