Associazione Calcio Milan, more commonly known as A.C. Milan, is a hugely popular professional Italian football club from Milan, Lombardy. Founded in December 1899 as “Milan Cricket and Foot-Ball Club”, it is one of the most popular and successful clubs in Italian football, having won numerous honors both domestically and in international cup competitions.

Their current home stadium is The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza (San Siro) in Milan.

Shape of A.C. Milan Logo

The A.C. Milan logo comprises of a shield that is largely based on the Flag of Milan, which itself was derived from the flag of Saint Ambrose. It also displays the acronym “ACM” at the top and the club’s foundation year – 1899 – at the bottom.

Colors of A.C. Milan Logo

The A.C. Milan logo features the red and black colors that symbolize the fiery ardor of its players and the opponents’ fear to challenge the team. Due to these two colors, the club was given the nickname “Rossoneri” which means “the red & blacks” in Italian. Another nickname associated with the club’s colors is the Devil.

The A.C. Milan logo once contained an illustration of a red devil along with a Golden Star for Sport Excellence. The club was awarded a star in 1979 which was placed above their logo after they won 10 league titles.
