Founded by the noted Silicon Valley entrepreneur Trip Hawkins in 1982, the company employs more than 9,225 people worldwide, with total assets of US$5.491 billion as of 2012.

Shape of the EA Logo
The EA logo has undergone several changes throughout the years. The earliest logo of the company was designed by Barry Deutsch of corporate identity firm “Steinhilber Deutsch & Gard” and consisted of three basic shapes – namely square, circle and triangle. It was unveiled shortly after the establishment of Electronic Arts in 1982.
The current version of the Electronic Arts logo, which comprises of a circle and contains the company’s initials inside it in a very creative and original way, was influenced by the emblem of EA Sports, a sub-brand of the company. It underwent several changes after its introduction in 1992.
