Red Bull is one of the most popular and best-selling energy drinks in the world, manufactured, marketed and owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH. It sells over 4.5 billion cans annually. The Styria-based entrepreneur and marketer Dietrich Mateschitz is credited as the creator of the brand, who founded the company in 1987 in partnership with Chaleo Yoovidhya. They were said to have been impressed by a Thai energy drink named “Krating Daeng”. The official slogan of Red Bull is “Red Bull gives you wings”.
With annual revenue of €4.253 billion as of 2011, Red Bull GmbH employs more than 8,300 worldwide.

The Red Bull logo is one of the most popular and instantly recognizable logos in the beverage industry. Often referred to as the “red and gold” logo, it comprises of two red bulls charging against each other in front of a yellowish gold circle.
