Shape of the Ferrari Logo
The Ferrari logo is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most popular car logos ever designed. It comprises of an illustration of “Prancing Horse” on a yellow background. The iconic Ferrari logo is synonymous with speed and sports cars.
Its history traces back to 1940 when Enzo Ferrari took over the prancing horse badge from Italian Air Force Count Francesco Baracca. This symbol was used at the sides of his plane by Baracca, a celebrated fighter pilot in World War I. Enzo met Baracca’s mother Countess Paolina in June 1923. Enzo had won a race at Savio track in Ravenna, and Paolina proposed that he should use the prancing horse symbol as a lucky charm.
Enzo started using the symbol in 1940, and it later became a fundamental component of the Ferrari logo.

The Ferrari logo features the colors of Italian flag – green, white and red – and yellow and black as additional colors. All these colors represent prestige, strength, dominance and charm of the Ferrari brand.
