Bugatti Logo

Bugatti Logo

Automobiles Ettore Bugatti, more commonly known as Bugatti, was a famous French automaker that manufactured high-performance vehicles. Established in 1909 in Molsheim, Alsace by an Italian-born automotive engineer Ettore Bugatti, the cars produced by the company were noted for their brilliant design as well as extraordinary performance. Ettore’s untimely death in an accident proved to be fatal for the marque as it suffered financially and there was nobody to lead the factory since his son Jean Bugatti had already died in 1939.

Bugatti was revived in the 1990s by an Italian entrepreneur Romano Artioli as a manufacturer of high-end limited edition sports cars. Today, the name is owned by German automobile giant Volkswagen.

DESIGN ELEMENTS, HISTORY AND EVOLUTION OF BUGATTI LOGO

Shape of the Bugatti Logo

Ettore Bugatti’s father was a professional jewelry designer and artist. His artistic talent was crucial in shaping the unique and iconic designs of the marque’s cars and also in their corporate identity. There were no gaskets used in the Buggati cars so the safety wires just appeared like lace patterns. This might be the reason there are red dots in the Bugatti logo. Another theory suggests that the senior Bugatti saw his son’s automobiles as fine jewel pieces.

The Bugatti company has mentioned that the combination of elegance and technology are reflected in the oval frame, which is dotted with 60 small pearls and the stylized initials of Ettore Bugatti.

Colors of the Bugatti Logo

While the red color in the Buggati logo embodies passion, energy and excitement, the black color stands for courage and excellence of the company’s products. The white color, on the other hand, represents nobility, elegance and purity.

Font of the Bugatti Logo

The Bugatti logo uses a simple typeface which is bold, yet pleasantly balanced.
