DESIGN ELEMENTS, HISTORY AND EVOLUTION OF GILLETTE LOGO
Shape and Font of Gillette Logo
The Gillette logo has undergone several modifications over the years, most notably the branding system designed by Anspach Grossman Enterprise. Nonetheless, it is undoubtedly one of the world’s most popular and instantly recognizable logos.
The distinctive and dynamic Gillette logo features a proprietary sans-serif typeface and carefully devised visual elements that efficiently ensure that the company’s message is consistent and effective. The slightly italic positioning of the font gives the overall design a unique feel of speed and the extra thickness makes it appear less threatening. Moreover, the clever use of negative space between the letter “G” and “i” forms two blade-like shapes on top of each other.
Colors of Gillette Logo
The use of black and white color in the Gillette logo stand for the elegance, purity, prestige, perfection and excellence of the company’s products.
